Finally a small update!

Well of course life is still pretty crazy (when isn't it?) but I finally remembered to come here (while awake!) and post an update of sorts.

Thanks to my Mom, Aunt Dot, Uncle Frank, Aunt Mary, and Aunt Edie we FINALLY went to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince! The 3 of us loved the movie!

The magik jack is installed and working fantastic, we just need to get a little better phone but that's not a big priority at this moment.

Found the cell phone finally! The battery had died and we couldn't find it in the house! LOL

Attempting to learn a new web design system (joomla) to update the festival website and it's making me want to rip my hair out! LOL

Well back to my PSP lessons!

Attempting a QUICK update

Well I managed to live through the festival, even with the added drama by our "EX" roomie (way too much to add in here right now). It's taking me a little longer to bounce back this year than in previous years and I'm assuming that's due to the added responsibilities and hours this year (a blessing and a curse!). Anyway, I'm trying to get rested up so I can get back to normal and not be totally exhausted all day.

Anyway...Jason is still in the process of getting the van (which hasn't been driven in a year) running again. So far he has replaced the water pump (was inside the engine) and the battery (found to be dead after the water pump was in place). Had fun this morning because the rear drivers tire wouldn't rotate...the stupid brakes were seized up! Jason managed to get that fixed and I was only a few minutes late for work....HE IS AWESOME! The front passenger wheel assembly (don't ask me what that is...I can point it out on the van though! LOL) won't come apart (probably more rust) so Jason is having fun trying to get that apart so he can put the new lug nuts on....I think the tire is only PARTIALLY attached at the moment.

I'm possibly looking to get "magic jack" so that we can have a home telephone. I've been doing some research and while it's not perfect it's cheap and probably worth the $40 cost. I think I saw our local Staples store had it in stock so I'm hoping in a couple of weeks I can get the money saved up to get it...then I actually have to buy a phone to plug into it! LOL

A Real Quick Update!

Well things at work definitely heated up this week...I'm BEYOND swamped! LOL! I finally got the web page done for the USO Liberty Bells. You can see it at http://www.coastguardfest.org/LibertyBells.html If you go look at it, let me know what you think!

I was so proud of myself yesterday...made homemade coleslaw and it actually tasted really good! LOL

There are so many sites/blogs out there that I just love (for a lot of different reasons) and I've decided I'm going to make a silly "award" that I can give these sites!

I need to vent so hopefully I can be productive at work today!

I'm beyond stressed today, over money of course! It doesn't seem to matter how hard I'm working to get caught up I seem to falling a touch farther behind! We received our electric bill (which is normally $20) and I about choked when I saw the amount....$120!!!! I have absolutely no clue where the heck that amount came from but Jason is going to go down to the electric company office and try to get to the bottom of this!

I'm trying to figure out how the heck I'm going to get all the bills paid and still manage to get caught up on our back rent! We never thought Jason would be out of work this long and the roomie has been "laid off" basically since before Christmas (they've called him in for a couple weeks at a time and then he gets laid off AGAIN!)

We still don't have the van fixed so we are relying on the roomie to let us use his car...so this is adding to the stress as well!

I've been attempting to find a dentist (since I haven't been to one in about 4 years) to go to for a cleaning but since I don't have insurance I'm looking at about $150 just for a blasted cleaning!

Can someone please tell me how I am going to dig myself out of this hole before I lose my mind???

After making some tags for friends, I finally got around to making 1 for myself. It took me forever to get it to look like I wanted but I'm just so blasted picky! LOL

Let's see...I managed to finish the background for my blog (first one that I've finished) and can't seem to get it to show up correctly. UGH!

Then I go to work and 11 minutes after walking in the door I have to deal with the 1 person that makes me hate my job! He is an arrogant jerk and if he continues to push me I'll just file a complaint with the festival board! Last year he almost made me quit because he is a moron and likes to blame me when he screws up!

Now I get a call from one of our vendors saying that some info on the website is incorrect...THEY ARE THE ONES THAT SENT IT TO ME!

Is it 5 o'clock yet?????

Remember that I'm slow! LOL

I will update as often as possible (basically when I remember). I've been taking a little "vacation" from playing WoW, I've been playing for 3 years and try to do this at least once a year. I have been playing a really cute game called Free Realms and have been having a blast.

I've also just recently started working with PSP again after about 3 years of barely any motivation. I literally stumbled across digital scrapbooking and just made my first 2 pages (still learning! LOL).

Most of my time currently is taken up with work. I'm the "Office Manager" for the Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival...SEMPER PARATUS! I have to say this is the most fulfilling job that I can ever remember having! I'm working on completely revamping the festival's website (the old one was absolutely HORRID!) and slowly learning web design but I have a LONG way to go to get the site to look and work the way I really want it to.

Anyways...this is just the start of this blog and I hope it'll convince me to take at least a few moments a day to work on it!
